Congratulations on your decision to join us in the pursuit of knowledge here at Drone Film School!  We work hard to make this an informative and collaborative space where students of all experience levels are welcome.

As the founder of Drone Film School, I’m personally committed to presenting the most accurate and relevant information available on the craft and art of aerial imaging.  Whether you are a professional flyer in the industry or you’re looking for advice on buying your first drone we hope you’ll enjoy sharing your journey with us here.

As a U.S. Army veteran, I’ve studied and employed remote sensing technology for more than 25 years, but I’m most excited about the personal and artistic applications of consumer drones that have emerged in the past few years.  As a photographer, the idea that you can visit a place that has been captured from thousands of angles and be able to create an image or video that is completely new and unique is exhilarating.

Here at Drone Film School we see everyone that participates as both a student and teacher simultaneously.  Even for those of you who are just starting to learn how to operate a drone, everyone has valuable life experience to contribute to the discussion.  It is my hope that, as you’re learning, you’ll share your successes and failures so that everyone gets the benefit of your experience.
